I have to image that every Knitter occasionally gets a bit project happy and ends up with a WIP pile similar to this:
I’ve added notes to this photo on Flickr so you can see what all these piles of wool may one day become. And yes, this is the current pile. I do not intent to show you the hibernating pile.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this?
It seems prioritization is the only way out of this mess so I’ve been concentrating on finishing up Cobblestone first.
I’m 2.5 inches from the armpit join and have one sleeve finished. The color has grown on me and the gauge has worked out. I was aiming for a 37″ chest, but I think 35″ will be fine.
This is one of Bunny’s (if you haven’t yet met Bunny, try this entry) knits, 35″ chest, and I love the fit. It’s actually been cool enough to wear this vest a few times this week, I’m very much looking forward to autumn.
Because you know what happens in the autumn?
Well, I can think of many things a knitter would enjoy… woolies… kids back in school… hyggestue…
…and it will be my first knittiversary! I became a knitter sometime last September, and we’ll celebrate as soon as my first sweater for me – Cobblestone – is finished!
On that note, what kind of things do you folks like to see in blog celebration giveaways?
Books? Patterns? Needles? Stitch markers? Work bags? Homemade jam? Yarn??
Please leave me your input while I knit madly on the Cobblestone and we’ll celebrate soon!
