Well, I swatched and got this:
Gauge was perfect. The colors were not. I was hopeful, but the green really overpowered the pink. I do like the combo, but not for this project. So I tried something else.
Gauge was off, and the rust looked red with the rose-y yarn. Again, not perfect (enough). Maybe another project.
So why did I want this sweater anyway? I’m not going to wear it much [in public]… I want it for a ballet warm-up. Which means A. it will need to be washed frequently. B. no one will care how nice it looks. C. I shouldn’t buy yarn for it.
So when I’m done sulking I’ll pull out old acrylic and knit one up. In the meantime I’m leaving out the rose Silky Wool, and I’m gonna make me some of these. Because every girl needs pink knee socks!
